Help & Support

Unfortunately I cannot offer any kind of crisis service. If you have concerns regarding risk and keeping yourself or a young person safe, please use the following services to access support.

  • SHOUT offer text support for young people on - 85258.

  • For a child needing support - Child line can be contacted on 0800 1111.

  • If you live in Dorset, you can contact Connections on 0800 652 0190

  • In case of an emergency please call 999/111.

 

  

If you are concerned that someone else is in distress and might be at risk of harm, please encourage them to contact their GP and make an emergency appointment. They can also call to speak with the Samaritans on 116 123. If you are concerned that someone is about to hurt someone else, please contact the police.

If you are an adult looking for mental health support and are registered at a GP practice, you can access your local Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT)/Steps to Wellbeing - NHS talking therapies service: www.nhs.uk/service-search/mental-health/find-an-nhs-talking-therapies-service 

For concerns regarding the mental health of a child please contact the child's GP practice or school for their pastoral support in the first instance, if there is no immediate risk.
